Sector:

Real Estate, Internet Software & Services

Location:

San Francisco, California

Amitree was founded to give everyone a place to manage their relationships with real estate. Amitree helps buyers manage their home buying journey from ‘just looking’ to ‘just moved in.’ It helps agents and mortgage professionals build closer relationships with their clients and better anticipate their needs.

Amitree’s platform generates a contextual understanding of each home buyer’s needs, guiding them through the entire administrative process and notifying them of required documents and critical service purchases as they progress toward closing.

Amitree’s placement in the flow of the transaction makes it a platform for purchasing all of the services needed in the home buying process outside of the actual home itself. These can include lending, insurance, appraisals, inspections, title and escrow, security, cable and utilities, movers, and attorneys, among others. Amitree’s monetization strategy is to notify the homebuyer of the next item on their checklist and offer to sell them the right service at the right time.

For real estate agents, the platform allows them to create curated experiences for their clients and monitor their progress remotely, while greatly reducing the points of friction in the agent-client workflow. The platform is powered by an abstract rule engine that is built on hundreds of hours of research conducted with real estate attorneys and agents. Given the immense value that Amitree provides to agents, agents onboard clients to the platform at no cost to Amitree, creating significant leverage in the model.

Amitree currently has close to 16,000 agents on the platform, over 3,000 of whom have invited buyers onto the platform. In addition, since May 2015, 800 agents have connected their Gmail accounts (>95% retention) to Amitree to automatically invite and manage their buyers.

The five members of the Amitree founding team previously worked together at Dapper.

Amitree plans to use the proceeds of this round to expand the team and scale the product.
