San Francisco East Bay Brewing is looking to become the top craft beer company in Asia.

The company is a spinoff of Schubros Brewery, an award-winning microbrewery based in San Francisco.

Schubros won the A+ Bay Area Brewpub of the Year in 2014, and has been distributing craft beers — from its 680 IPA to Diablo Dark stout — in the U.S. for the past five years at stores like Costco and Safeway.

Now, San Francisco East Bay Brewing is looking to tackle the rapidly-expanding Asian beer market, focusing on four countries — China, Japan, India and Vietnam.

According to FOX Business, China is now the world’s largest beer market. In fact, in 2015, the country drank 25 billion liters of beer, nearly twice as much as the U.S. And the market share for craft beer has grown 23% in China over the past five years.

In India, according to Bloomberg, sales of craft beer have risen 20% each year since 2008. That year, there were just two microbreweries in the entire country. Today, there are more than 80.

San Francisco East Bay Brewing has plans to brew in Vietnam in partnership with Brewmaster, a Hanoi-based beer company.

It's also engaged in talks with Olymbuilder Investment Company, a renowned start-up incubator that's guided companies like Rockin' Jump (sports recreation company).

The company also holds import and distribution contracts within Japan, Taiwan, China and Vietnam.
