SeatXchange is an app that lets users swap tickets to their favorite events.

Simply put, buying tickets for a concert or sporting event can be a gamble.

You may get a good deal for a pair of tickets online, only to arrive at the stadium to find out your view is obstructed or you’re stuck in a section with fans who aren’t so polite.

Problems like these can ruin the experience of enjoying the big game or rock concert.

Using SeatXchange, users can find other people in the stands willing to pay to swap seats. This lets people move away from unruly fans, or move closer to the action on the field or stage.

Did you pay a steep price for front row seats, only to realize you have to leave early? With SeatXchange, you can find people to purchase the tickets from you for the remainder of the event, allowing them to enjoy front row seats while you recoup some of your original purchase.

With SeatXchange, all transactions come with a $5 flat fee, regardless of the price of the tickets. Users can check ratings and reviews of different seats before they purchase them and can even connect with friends on the app who are also in attendance in an effort to sit closer together.

To date, SeatXchange has raised $850,000 in capital and the company has filed for two patents that would create a barcode for users once inside venues to verify their seats.

This month, it plans to launch a beta version of the app in the Los Angeles area before its public launch set for September 2017.
