Swingbyte is a digital golf swing analyzer.

It's developed a bluetooth-enabled device that attaches to any golf club or putter. Utilizing sports motion analytics, it wirelessly transmits swing data and interactive 3-D imagery to users’ iOS and Android devices.

This provides users with actionable data to improve their golf game.

The next step for the company is to take the technology it's developed for golf and apply it to other wearable markets.

Its machine learning algorithm can be applied to any motion to improve technique and prevent injury, making wearables useful tools for all users.

This is a significant market, estimated at $2 billion -- but despite the rising popularity and massive amount of data available for the wearables market, most wearable technology fails to consistently deliver actionable information, rather than just numbers.

Swingbyte sells its bluetooth product, SwingByte 2: Mobile Golf Swing Analyzer, on its website. It retails for $169.

For the past 3 years, Swingbyte has reported ~$1 million in annual revenue.

The company has signed a marketing and distribution deal with Cleveland Golf (a golf equipment company), and has a joint development agreement with Warrior Sports (a manufacturer of sports equipment).

It was named 1 of the 12 coolest products at the PGA Show by Golf Digest.
