Vantem Global is addressing this crisis by developing a breakthrough building material. Its proprietary structural panels reduce construction time by up to 80%, cut costs by 25%, and are 5x more energy efficient than traditional building materials.
The company is led by CEO Chris Anderson, who previously co-founded an international construction material manufacturing business. And its Board includes John Preston, the former Director of Technology Development at MIT, and an expert in environmental and energy-related issues.
Vantem Global has introduced its building system in South American countries, where traditional brick and concrete construction methods are popular and labor costs are relatively high.
The company sells its panels and building kits to construction companies, and aims to create 50/50 joint ventures with local partners.
Team Background
John Preston - Board Member
John was formerly the Director of Technology Development at MIT, where he was responsible for the commercialization of the university’s developed technologies.
He served as a Board Advisor to Mars, Inc. and serves on the Board of Directors for Clean Harbors (NYSE: CLH), a provider of energy and waste disposal services.
John is an expert in fields including energy, environment, and entrepreneurship.
Chris Anderson - Founder & CEO
Before starting Vantem Global, Chris co-founded an international construction material and wood products manufacturing business. He ran the business for 20 years, scaling its operation to 1,600 employees.
He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Park University and a Master’s in International/Global Studies from the University of South Carolina.
Roger Berry - Board Member
Roger has more than 17 years of experience in private equity funds and transactions.
He founded Liberty Global Partners, an advisory firm focused on emerging investment markets.
In addition, he was formerly Head of Fund Strategies for Climate Change Capital, a private asset management group.
Shad Azimi - Board Member
Shad is a managing partner and the Founder of Vanterra Capital, a global private equity firm managing assets for high net-worth partners.
He has more than 18 years of private equity investment experience. And prior to starting this company, he was a principal at NYL Capital, an associate at Lightyear Capital, and an associate in the private equity group of UBS.
