Annie Stacks is a personal finance app. It's designed to help users balance weekly spending with continuous saving.

Specifically, its platform makes it possible for users to allocate their savings towards multiple purposes, and across different asset classes — for example:

A user’s spare change could be rolled into a savings account, used to pay down debt, or invested in both traditional assets (such as the Dollar or Euro) and non-traditional assets (such as Crypto-currencies).

Annie Stacks is a financial technology — or “Fintech" — company.

According to a recent report from PricewaterhouseCoopers, global financial services companies are recognizing the importance of Fintech start-ups.

As a result, 82% of traditional financial companies expect to increase Fintech partnerships in the next three to five years.

In fact, according to a 2018 article from CB Insights, a research firm focused on private equity and venture capital, “More banks are beginning to acquire Fintech start-ups.”

With its ability to round up a user’s spare change and roll it into a separate account, Annie Stacks is similar to savings apps Acorns and Digit. Acorns has more than 3.5 million users, and Digit has helped users save more than $230 million.

But Annie Stacks separates itself from the competition by enabling users to authorize the app to buy assets on their behalf, and to automatically adjust the ratio of assets purchased.

Here’s how it works:

First, users connect their bank account to the Annie Stacks app and select from one of three savings levels: low, medium, or high.

From there, users build what the company calls “stacks” — traditional savings accounts or investments into various asset classes.

Over time, Annie keeps the user’s portfolio “balanced” by automatically moving funds from one asset class to another — for example:

A user may choose to store stacks as 80% Euro, 12% Gold, and 8% Ethereum. When the price of one fluctuates, the service will adjust the purchasing schedule in order to re-balance the portfolio.

Annie Stacks is nearing completion of building its app. The company expects it will take two months from the conclusion of this fundraising round to finish its product. Following that, it will launch a beta version of its app.

Annie Stacks plans to operate as a customer acquisition tool for wealth management firms and asset managers. Essentially, it will earn fees from these firms for referring new users.

Each time a financial services company partners with Annie Stacks, it will release marketing materials to inform and engage new users.

The company aims to have partnerships with at least three financial service providers by the end of 2019, and 1 million paid users by 2020.
