Cava aims to help you monitor your health while you’re sitting down — on the toilet.

It’s created what it calls the smartest toilet seat. Built with advanced sensors, its seat tracks a person’s heart rate, body weight, hydration levels, and gut health. It also offers features including an automatic open/close lid, heated seat, and advanced bidet functions.

Cava has raised more than $1 million from investors. And its team includes former executives from Nike, Google, and Jawbone.

In 2020, the company created a beta version of its seat. It's preparing to bring it to market this year.
