Friendly Robots that Deliver Food
Do you ever get excited when you interact with a dog?
If so, Daxbot wants you to have that same reaction when you meet its delivery robots.
Essentially, it’s created a fleet of robots designed to deliver food and maintain “charming interactions” with customers.
Equipped with patented Artificial Intelligence, its robots can travel up to three miles round-trip while opening doors, crossing streets, and navigating in pitch-black conditions.
This is a big market. Food-delivery is projected to reach $200 billion by 2026.
In 2017, Daxbot received approval to deploy its robots in Philomath, Oregon. It created its first prototype in 2018 and began delivering for local restaurants in 2020. It’s currently raising capital to deploy its robots in California, Georgia, and Washington D.C.
