Flux Hybrids

There are around 200 million fleet vehicles worldwide. But just one percent are electric.

Flux Hybrids aims to change that. This company has created an aftermarket plug-in hybrid conversion system. It enables fleet vehicles to make short, everyday trips on electric power, while still offering the option for gas power.

The secret is a battery pack that powers an electric drive unit, which feeds into a patent-pending mechanical integration system. This system enables the vehicle to run on electric-only, gas-only, or a combination of the two.

Flux Hybrids completed the Techstars Alabama Energytech Accelerator, and developed a prototype of its system. It’s beginning a paid pilot with Alabama Power Company, part of the seventy-seven-billion-dollar energy firm, Southern Company.
