Me In 3 is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform designed to change the hiring process.

It’s a video-based platform that connects employers with potential candidates. Job seekers can create video profiles to be submitted as part of their application. This enables them to showcase their personality and career goals. And it enables employers to get a real impression their applicants early in the hiring process.

Me In 3 is targeting the $20 billion market for small- and medium-sized business hiring. In just the past six months, it's grown its user base by nearly 1,000%.

Now Me In 3 is seeking capital to attract additional users, launch premium services, and begin generating revenue.

Me In 3 was created because the traditional hiring process is broken. Company Founder Markus Engelke discovered this first-hand when he tried to hire a sales rep for his wife’s interior design company.

He was looking for someone who had an exceptional personality and strong people skills. But he had no way of determining that based on resumes alone.

He soon presented the idea of a video screening platform to three members of what would become his team. All three had also experienced the same frustration — times where they had seen a great resume, invited a candidate for an interview, and knew shortly after that it was a waste of time. They also know that they had likely missed out on a stellar candidate who didn’t get an interview due to a poorly written resume.

Together, the four began working on what would become Me In 3.

To round out the team, the company sought an expert in Human Resources who could help guide the science behind Me In 3. So it brought in Chris Wright, who holds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and has a track record of building software-based companies.

Here’s how the process works for employers:

First, they review video profiles submitted by the applicant. Next, they review resumes and additional documents. Finally, they invite promising candidates for interviews based on their personality, story, and skills.

With Me In 3, employers save time by selecting better candidates faster. And job seekers have a chance to stand out from the crowd.

Me In 3 offers “freemium” accounts to both job seekers and employers. Job seekers can use a free basic version, or they can pay $4 per month for a Pro version, which enables them to upload additional content (writing samples, portfolio work, etc.). An Elite version with even more features is available for $9 per month.

Employers, meanwhile, can use a free basic account. There’s also a “Teams” option for $50 per month, which enables groups of employees to collaborate in the hiring process. Me In 3 also sells enterprise licenses to staffing agencies and recruiters who can search videos to find potential candidates for positions. These licenses are sold for $900 per month.
