Autonomous-Underwater Vehicles
Tampa Deep Sea Xplorers (TDSX) is developing small footprint, autonomous-underwater vehicles for data collection and exploration. Equipped with Artificial Intelligence, these vehicles can be trained for search & rescue missions, and recognize obstacles, objects, and animals.
The company’s first vehicle, the Barracuda AUV, can be hand-launched from nearly any small vessel, and used for applications including mapping, defense, climatological-data collection, and underwater archeology.
TDSX has created a prototype of the Barracuda. And in 2021, it was awarded a utility patent covering its proprietary technology.
