Waverly Labs is a voice and language company combining speech translation and wearable technology.

This company initially created personal “smart” earbuds equipped with language translation. And it generated more than $9 million in sales. Now it’s targeting the $49 billion global market for the use of spoken interpreters in business settings.

It’s created the Ambassador Interpreter. This over-the-ear device is designed to solve language barriers in global commerce and business.

This device uses artificial neural networks, machine learning, and digital signal processing. Speech is captured directly from the earphone, where it is processed and translated in “the cloud.” The translation is then heard directly in the user’s ear with minimal lag.

Mashable, a technology website, said “The gadget straight out of science fiction has come to life.” And a review from CNET, another tech website, noted “All I can say right now is, ‘wow’.”

Waverly Labs has achieved nearly $1 million in sales of its Ambassador. It’s also partnered with Hilton, Walmart, and Amazon to demonstrate its interpreter in business meetings with these companies.
