Careers - Marketing Coordinator

About Us

Crowdability is the world’s first and largest online research firm focused on start-up investing.

Thanks to a new set of laws called the JOBS Act, for the first time in 83 years, ordinary individuals can now invest in private start-ups.

This is an exciting development—but if investors don’t know what they’re doing, they could lose their shirts.

Crowdability’s mission is to help inform, protect and guide these investors.

Backed by top venture capitalists, Crowdability has quickly become a leader in this emerging sector, serving more than 100,000 free and paid subscribers.

About The Job:

Crowdability is always looking for talented, driven people to help us fulfill our mission.

We’re currently seeking a full-time Marketing Coordinator to help us grow our audience and revenue.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a team dedicated to defining the future of investing.

Your role will be to help deploy new customer acquisition campaigns across several marketing channels. These channels include search and display networks like Google AdWords as well as content networks like Taboola, Outbrain and Yahoo Gemini.

If you’re not familiar with all of these channels, not to worry. On-the-job training and career development is something we pride ourselves on.

You’ll also be responsible for maintaining our internal marketing calendar and schedule. In other words, you’ll deploy innovative marketing campaigns to our 100,000+ email subscribers in order to help grow our revenue.

Reporting to one of the company’s founders, the Marketing Coordinator will be based in New York City. (However, for the right candidate, there might be flexibility with respect to geography.)

We offer a competitive market salary, benefits, bonus/incentive compensation and the ability to earn equity.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work with senior marketers to develop and implement promotions, offers, and creative campaigns to drive user growth.
  • Monitor existing campaigns and create performance reports for management.
  • Work with external website and list owners to gain access to new marketing and distribution channels.
  • Collaborate with our Design and Production teams to rapidly deploy new campaigns.
  • Perform market research to help identify new acquisition and monetization strategies.

Required Experience

  • No direct marketing experience necessary, but we do require familiarity with paid advertising via display, search, content or affiliate networks.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of direct marketing principles and practices (e.g. customer acquisition cost vs. customer lifetime value).
  • Knowledge of, or interest in, the financial markets is preferred but not required.
  • Solid quantitative and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to multi-task and work well within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

About Crowdability’s Culture

Crowdability’s founders have deep experience in the world of start-up investing. This is an exciting world, and we’re passionate about it.

Perhaps because of this passion, Crowdability offers a fun and immersive environment that’s conducive to working and learning.

We offer a flexible work schedule, flexible holiday policy, and most of all, the ability to learn alongside one of the smartest start-up teams on the planet.

We’re based in New York City, in a big, fun office with great light and snacks.
