Hang w/ is a mobile live-streaming video platform that enables anyone, anywhere, to broadcast live video to friends, fans and followers using nothing more than a smart phone.

Broadcasts can be monetized via an integrated ad platform which runs advertising before and after live broadcasts. Broadcasters can earn additional revenue through the sale of Pay-Per-View "Digital Tickets" and by receiving "Digital Tips" -- both of which can be converted to cash.

Users create Pay-Per-View live events and set their own price in just a few taps. Viewers make their purchase using digital coins. In-app tools help promote the ticket across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Tipping allows a viewer to give money directly to a broadcaster during a live broadcast. Tipping is done in increments as low as $.10 or as high as $10.

The problem that Hang w/ aims to solve is that social media is becoming increasingly fake. Social media teams schedule tweets on others’ behalf. Photos are photoshopped. YouTube videos are carefully edited. And very little of what is seen today via the major social platforms can be known for a fact to be real.

Next, content creators and influencers are not getting paid for their efforts building an audience and content across platforms like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, and they are getting increasingly frustrated by it. Influencers who create content that is seen and shared by millions get nothing, while the platforms upon which this content is shared gain all the financial advantages.

Hang w/ streams live to those audiences -- and monetizes them. Hang w/ live video can not be faked. If you see it live on Hang w/, you know it happened. During the live streaming video, viewers can engage the broadcaster and each other directly and in real time through simultaneous live chat.

With recent advances in technology, and the decreases in server and storage costs, Hang w/ now makes it possible for anyone to use their smart phone to stream live video to dozens, hundreds, even millions of simultaneous viewers.

Hang w/ is unique among competitors and has developed a number of industry-leading features such as:

• Stream Live to both Facebook & Twitter
• User Monetization through Advertising, Pay Per View Digital Ticket and Tipping
• Private Access Broadcasting
• User-to-User Messaging
• Stream Live from a GoPro
• Live Broadcast Filters (basically, like photographic filters)
• 24/7 Moderation and User Blocking
• Curated Discovery

Today, the platform has reached millions of users across the app, Facebook, Twitter and on the web.

Its patent-pending architecture was built to handle significant scale and growth.

Hang w/ has attracted a number of celebrity users, investors and advisors including:

• Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson
• Jared Leto
• Timbaland
• Terrell Owens
• Larry the Cable Guy
• Elton Brand
• Coco Crisp
• The Brooklyn Nets
• Soulja Boy
• Common
• Ne-Yo

Hang w/ has millions of users, with more than 3,000,000 live broadcasts. It achieved 1 million users in its first 9 months; that's faster than Twitter and Facebook.

Its patents were filed over 2 years ago, ahead of Twitter's Periscope and other live streaming services.

It's the official Live Streaming Partner for events such as Style Fashion Week, and it plans to expand its technology across a number of verticals such as health, dating, motivational speaking and real estate.

As actor Jared Leto said: "I believe we are entering a golden age in technology. Creative minds are harnessing what's possible to take human relationships to the next level. Hang w/ weaves together some of the most powerful technological elements – including mobility, social media and live streaming – into one platform."

As Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, an advisor and investor in the company, said, "Hang w/ fits seamlessly into my overall business strategy. I see ways to use it to promote my headphones, apparel, energy shots, film and TV projects, my boxers, and even my philanthropic endeavors."

And Timothy "Timbaland" Mosley, a producer and investor in the company, said: "I’ve seen the power of social media and how a simple tweet or Instagram pic can bring awareness to an album. I think Hang w/ takes things to the next level. I believe the entertainment industry will line up behind this application and I intend to be at the head of the line."

The company has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, and Fast Company.

For market comps, the company notes that video platform Meerkap is currently valued at about $54 million; Periscope was acquired by Twitter for $86 million; and WhatsApp was acquired by Facebook for $19 billion.

To date, the company has raised $3.4 million with support from artists, athletes, celebs and influencers.
