Pakible allows any business to create custom product packaging online.

Custom packaging is an $85 billion industry, and the digital custom package market where Pakible operates is making up a larger and larger portion of it.

Using its online editor, customers can fully customize and brand their own retail packaging, shipping boxes, or product containers. Pakible then routes the order to the most qualified manufacturer from their network, and customers receive samples within 10 days.

The traditional design and purchase cycle can take 3-4 months and manufacturers often deal with ambiguous design specs or hand-drawn examples; Pakible gives factories floor-ready designs that they can plug right into their systems.

Operating through a batch ordering model, Pakible claims to reduce costs from $5-$20 per package to $1-$3.

Growing at 150% week-over-week since it launched in February, Pakible has over 850 clients that include Samsung, Reddit, and Soylent. In March they sold over 1,000,000 units, for a total of $257,653 in revenues at an average margin of 20%.

Proceeds from this round of financing will be used to hire 2 engineers, a salesperson, and a manufacturing specialist, as well as to add new packaging styles and to increase customer acquisition efforts.

Pakible is a graduate of Y Combinator’s Winter 2015 class.
