The system is made up of a reservoir, water pump, and multiple rows of cylindrical pipes used to flow nutrient-rich water.

The rows are stacked to reduce overall land, water, and energy usage, but are fully accessible for harvesting.

Apex Farms has been granted two patents and has 20 patents pending. The company has received 100 pre-orders for the fifth version of its residential farming system.
