The average American eats nearly 50 pizzas a year. On any given day, 1 in every 8 Americans enjoys a slice of pizza.

But not many people have had pizza made fresh from a vending machine. That’s what Basil Street Cafe offers.

It’s developed a line of Automated Pizza Kitchens, or APKs. These kiosk-style kitchens prepare fresh brick-oven pizzas in just three minutes. They're ideal for college campuses, amusement parks, casinos, hospitals, airports, and movie theaters.

Pizzas are made with vine-ripened tomatoes, 100% mozzarella, and real olive oil. In addition to traditional offerings, menus are continuously updated to include artisan options such as breakfast pizzas and buffalo chicken.

Basil Street Cafe already has its APKs in the field, and plans to have 100 in operation before the end of the year.
