Real-Time E-mail Tracking
MailTag is a software program that provides real-time e-mail tracking.
Notable customers include Google, Uber, Verizon, Lyft, and Shopify.
By adding this software to their existing e-mail systems, these customers can receive notifications when a recipient opens an e-mail, and learn if they clicked on any of the links.
In addition, MailTag users can schedule e-mails to send at precise times, and draft automated follow-up messages.
In the words of the company, MailTag was created to help businesses “know what happens after you click ‘send.’”
Specifically, the platform is designed to help companies increase sales and gain a better understanding of what e-mail-related content is effective.
According to MailTag, 95% of U.S. companies use e-mail as their primary method of communication. Meanwhile, the sales performance software market is projected to reach $26.6 billion by 2021.
Since launching in 2017, MailTag has achieved 76% quarter-over-quarter revenue growth.
The company was created by Founder Alex Edson, who grew his previous company, PowerTV, to $10 million in sales in less than four years. PowerTV was acquired in 2017 by ScaleLab, a talent management company.
With funds raised, MailTag will expand the software’s browser compatibility — for example, right now the software is only available on the Google Chrome web browser. The company plans to expand this to Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari.
In addition, while the software is currently only available for Gmail, MailTag will soon be available for other e-mail platforms including Microsoft Outlook and Yahoo! mail.
Despite being just 20 years old, Alex has already founded and sold a startup.
He founded PowerTV, a talent management company focused on entertainers who became famous on YouTube.
In less than four years, he grew the company to more than $10 million in sales, and sold the company in 2017.
Hrishikesh has more than 13 years of computer programming experience.

In addition, he founded VSH Consultancy Services, an IT company that focused on creating search optimization tools for major web browsers such as Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
