VAND turns any standard shower into an advanced water filtration system.
Just as Brita disrupted the $24 billion home water filtration market with its purifiers for the kitchen, VAND aims to do the same with filters for the shower.
The company's custom shower purifier is easily installed onto a user’s existing shower head. Its dual-module system contains a subtractive filter cartridge that filters out pollutants from the water, while an additive cartridge adds vitamins and minerals.
At the same time, the company’s proprietary algorithms continuously monitor water quality data from your local utility, and combine it with personal health data consumers provide. This creates a water filtration solution customized to a person’s exact location and individual health needs.
VAND created two prototypes of its filters in 2019, and has received more than 1,500 pre-orders. The company has also received wholesale inquiries from France, Australia, the UK, and Japan.
In March 2020, VAND filed patents for its product, and aims to begin production of its filters in July 2020.
